Ahhhh! We are safely here in Kenya, and I am so excited! :) It felt like one really, really long day of traveling (I guess it was more like two days)... first from Seattle to Chicago, then Chicago to London, then London to Nairobi.. I couldn't keep track of what time of day it was at all... our 12 hours in London included an interesting restaurant experience that I'm sure every team member will tell you about at some point (I think I'll leave it for Cindy...)
Steven, Kristine, Daniel, and I set out to develop really good British accents by the end of the layover.. It wasn't much of a success, but our efforts were entertaining (at least to us..) :) We "tube"-d around some of London, which was fun, and did lots and lots of walking..
Anyway! I think I have to go because we're going out grocery (and phone?) shopping and visiting babies! I will write more later! Ahhhh! Okay, thanks for all your prayers--so many answered already! :)

Glad to hear you've all arrived safely. Hope Trenton (as well as everyone else) stays healthy. It's great to read all the blogs, so thanks for writing. I'm speaking every day at Free Meth camp, so everyone here is hearing my regular updates on your team. Turns out quite a few of the folks here have recently returned from Kenya with Heavenly Treasures or E.L.I. (Empowering Lives International?). God bless you all. I'm looking foward to hearing those British accents!--P. Wayne

ReplyDeletehaha i'm curious to hear your guys' attempts at the accents :PP. and you'll have to explain what "tube"ing around London means sometime o.O;... you didn't happen to take videos of the accents did you? :D praying for you all!!
ReplyDeleteJust watched the video of you all singing/playing "amazing grace/my chains are gone". a sweet offering to the Lord.
