Awesome Youths.....Pied Pipers for Jesus!!!!!

Hello from Africa,

Since you have already read about our last couple of days, and now that I have finally got to use the computer, I wanted to comment about the youths on the team.

Last night, I had decided that we needed to get up earlier in order to get to Kayaba Church in South B Slum on time. Anna was worried that the youths would have a hard time waking up. This morning, Anna went to the boy’s room to make sure that they were awake. There was no response when she knocked on their door. As it turned out, the youths were up very very early and gathered together and did devotion before the team met for our team devotion. What an inspiration!!!

The youths did very well walking through the slums and they were certainly the highlights for the slum kids for the day. They were like Pied Pipers, all the kids gathering and following them through the slums. Their genuine love for the kids is evident in the way they interact with them. They brought joy and hope to the kids in the slum. The adults were all inspired and proud of our youths. God is glorified.

Parents; don’t worry. As the team mom, I’ll make sure that they have “safe” food in their tummy, water to keep them hydrated and God will do the rest.

Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray that the team will stay healthy and safe.

God Bless,
Cindy

  3. Cindy, Thank you for the encouraging message about the youths. It sounds like they are growing in an amazing way in the Lord.

We also want to give you a big thank you for being the mom for our youths. I have to admit that I felt better after reading your post that they are still healthy. We miss you all!
